Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labour in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. Ps.127:1 (NIV).
If God isn’t in what we’re doing then there’s no point in us doing it! It’ll just be a waste of time and effort.
I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. … For we are co-workers in God’s service: 1.Cor.3:6, 9a (NIV)
So, we look forward to 2026 with eager anticipation of what God is going to do! Here’s a short list of where we think He is taking C4H:
- Launch two new Healing Cafés (Chippenham and Dorchester) in the early part of 2026.
- During the course of the year, respond to enquiries, train, and launch an additional 10 new start-up Healing Cafés around the south-west.
- Identify and develop new potential leaders to assist in the work of equipping.
- Identify, grow and equip café and team leaders.
- Develop an in-house, “mentoring scheme” so that those with greater maturity and experience may help those coming through the courses.
- Run 4 sessions each year for café leaders to ensure best practice is maintained.
- Appoint a voluntary, part-time operations manager.
- Appoint a voluntary, part-time treasurer.
- Create and introduce a new role of “Ambassador” to C4H. Identify, equip, resource and appoint team members in this role.
- Expand the voluntary roles available within C4H.
- Develop small team missional opportunities.
- Become a registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO)
- Identify improvements which could be made to our marketing and communications and form strategies to implement them.
- Paul Skelton to spend another eight days of personal development by attending leadership mentoring sessions run by Paul Manwaring.
- Encourage volunteers to pursue their own personal development/growth opportunities.
