Looking further ahead…
In an attempt to keep the size of this weekly newsletter manageable, details of forthcoming events are provided as a separate C4H Events List. This can also be accessed from the team page of the C4H website (password is HOTS4075). We encourage you to update your diaries with these dates.
Events and activities planned further ahead in the future, can be found on our calendar.
Shaftesbury Healing Café, new times in New Year…
From January, the Shaftesbury Healing Café will be changing from the first Friday in the month to the first Saturday in the month. Also, the opening hours will be changing from the morning to the afternoon, 3:00pm to 5:00pm (team prayers will start at 2:00pm). Here are details for those serving on team and here are details for those who are wishing to attend for healing.
Team Page Resources…
Recordings of the Ella Onakona’s talks from the recent Winter Gathering at Lox Lane are available on the team page (password is HOTS4075).
A number of helpful resources can be found on the team page of the C4H website (password is HOTS4075). These include: recordings of talks, C4H’s values for ministry; C4H’s Healing Café culture; HOTS training manuals; C4H’s Policies for Ministry; and C4H’s Data Privacy Policy.
More About Jesus…
In one of his Alpha Course talks, Nicky Gumbel tells the story of the first time he got ready to do some witnessing at a party. To cut short a long (but humorous) story, Nicky arrived at the party with his jacket crammed full of various books and pamphlets so that he would be able to provide follow-up materials to anyone with whon he was able to engage in conversation about Jesus. In order to save you from the same problem, we have provided some resources on the website which you can find at www.more-about-jesus.org. Please do take a look or (even better) share the link with the next person you witness to!
WhatsApp Groups…
We run several WhatsApp groups in order to get the right information to the right people. This helps C4H to operate smoothly. Details about the WhatsApp groups and how you may join them can be found here.
If you are involved with HOTS Bath then we recommend that you join the C4H HOTS WhatsApp group as this will help to keep you abreast of arrangements as they are made.
If you are involved with any of the Healing Cafés then we recommend that you join the C4H Healing Café WhatsApp group as this will help to keep you abreast of arrangements as they are made.
‘Remote’ Prayer Requests…
The vision behind C4H is primarily for ‘hands on’ healing and our desire would always be to encourage people to attend the cafés in person where possible. However, before each Healing Café we receive several ‘remote’ requests for prayer from or on behalf of those who aren’t able to attend in person.
We try to minister into these whilst the café is running, if we have time, expecting the Holy Spirit to bring an encounter for the person right there and then, even if they are not physically in the room (just like the Syrophoenician woman’s Daughter of Mk.7:24-30, the centurion’s servant of Mt.8:5-13 and Lk.7:1-10, and the Capernaum official’s son of Jn.4:46–54). However, when the cafés are busy we find that we can’t always give sufficient attention to these ‘remote’ prayer requests so, we are looking for anyone who may like the opportunity to pray and minister into these requests. If this is you, please do let us know.
If someone is not able to attend a café or HOTS in person and would like us to pray for them during the time allocated please let us know the details.
New Healing Cafés…
Interest is still being shown in the possibility of starting healing cafés in additional locations in the south-west of England. Please pray.
- We are looking into opening a Healing Café in Chippenham (Wiiltshire), probably early in 2026.
- Edith and Graham Hardy are making plans to open a Healing Café in Dorchester (Dorset). In particular, please pray that the right venue will be found. Training still has to be arranged and provisional dates still have to be set.
Organisation…
Work is underway to establish C4H as a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation).
- The online form on the Charity Commission’s website has been completed and submitted! Wahoo! The Charity Commission have provided the second part of the application which has to be completed within 3 months. Once the second part has been submitted, we are advised that the Charity Commission will take about nine weeks to process our application.
- Please pray that the application will only have to be submitted once and that it is accepted and passed promptly and without incident.
- This necessary work will incur some expense. Anyone wishing to contribute may do so via our donate page.
- Mugshots of our trustees can be found on our Charities page.
C4H is looking for a treasurer to assist the board of trustees with the recording of C4H’s finances. If this role interests you then please let us know. Book-keeping skills are required.
John and Sharon Firth are providing Paul with operational support as he further develops C4H’s ministry. In particular, they will be assisting Paul with the growth and development of the Healing Cafés.
Prayer & Thanksgiving…
- Testimonies of some of the healings at the Bath and Melksham Healing Cafés can be found here.
- There is a C4H Intercessors WhatsApp group which is specifically for those who wish to intercede for C4H’s and Paul Skelton’s ministry. Details about how to join can be found here.
- Please also pray for those who are heading up various C4H activities. Their details can be found here.
- Please use the items contained in this newsletter as prayer pointers as you pray for Catalyst4Healing.
